Harnessing Solar Power

We’re proud to say that The Vineyard runs on sunshine! With a powerful 69kW solar system complemented by a secondary 39kW system, we’re making significant strides in reducing our reliance on non-renewable energy. Our solar panels not only power our day-to-day operations but also contribute to generating hot water, ensuring that our impact on the environment is minimised.

Efficient Heating with Heat Pumps

Sustainability is all about efficiency, and our heat pump units are a testament to that. We’ve installed 13 heat pump units across the site, which use just a third of the power compared to conventional systems. On sunny days, these units generate hot water using solar energy.

Energy-Efficient Air Conditioning

Comfort doesn’t have to come at the expense of the environment. Our state-of-the-art Temperzone Eco air conditioning units ensure maximum energy efficiency. Future plans include implementing sensors to turn off air conditioning when no movement is detected, ensuring we don’t waste energy on empty spaces.

Water Conservation

Water is a precious resource, and we’re committed to using it wisely. We’ve installed water-saving shower heads across our accommodation facilities, reducing water usage from approximately 32 litres per minute to just 13 litres per minute.

Reducing Food Waste

We understand the importance of reducing food waste. In our kitchen, it’s not just about crafting delicious dishes; it’s about doing so responsibly. We’ve implemented strategies to minimise waste, from creative uses of surplus ingredients to portion control. This not only conserves resources but also supports our mission to make every meal meaningful.
