Frequently asked questions

The upgrades to the café, alfresco dining and beer garden are scheduled for completion by September 2024, with the children’s playground completed by Christmas in late 2024.

Further details are included in our latest Development Application (DA) DA0273/24, which has recently been lodged, or more information is provided in the following answers.

We decided to complete a phased construction of the property which resulted in a number of Phased approvals and construction as follows;

  • Phase 1 – Completed refurbishment to part of the Hotel/Pub under CDC
  • Phase 2 – Current external works with works onsite now were approved by Council under DA in Dec 2023
  • Phase 3 – our latest DA0273/24 is now lodged with Hawkesbury Council, which includes demolition of part of the Hotel/Pub (ie: Sports Bar, Beer Garden, Bottle shop) to be constructed in a new build of Hotel/Pub and bottle shop. In addition, the demolition of 2 older motel buildings (nearest hotel/pub) and rebuilding of new 64room motel with pool on the northern part of the property away from the Hotel/Pub

Based on all 3 phases of approvals and construction;

  • We are focused on delivering first class new generation large format Hotel/Pub with a strong focus on family-friendly offerings including large outdoor alfresco dining,  beer garden, cafe and children’s playground. Also proposed is live entertainment, the likes of soloists, duos, bands and comedians in part of the hotel.
  • Brand-new high-quality motel accommodation being constructed in one 2 level building to include 64 rooms, pool and gym.

Tommy’s Cafe will open in September

December 2024

We have proposed ample car parking increasing the existing parking from 371 to 478. In addition, approximately 100 spaces have been constructed onsite but not required under previous DA approval. The new parking layout will be far more efficient and much easier to navigate than the existing parking layout.

A link to our DA is here: Vineyard DA

  • 2 older motel buildings will be demolished (those closest to the pub)
  • a new 2 level 64 room motel will be constructed with first class facilities such as pool and gym
  • previous DA for another 4 separate motel buildings will be abandoned on approval of the Phase 3 DA

Current plans for boundary road have not been made public as yet by Hawkesbury and Hills Shire Council

Whilst the site is well over 7ha, most of the land does have affectations which restrict the ability to construct, but we have been able to work with all the restrictions on the site whilst respecting the local nature of the site. The DA design addresses all issues set out in the consultant’s report.

We have a full landscape plan with a design to include far more trees and the majority of the existing landscaped area has been maintained. There will also be permeable crushed rock (rather than concrete) in the parking lots to assist with the aim of reducing heat and reducing water run-off.
